ONTARIO FISHING / ABOUT US

Due North Marketing: the people behind Ontario Fishing.

A Northern Ontario business, a long list of fishing places, and a guide built to be useful.

ONTARIO FISHING / THE SITEBy Due North Marketing · Updated

Ontario Fishing is published by Due North Marketing in Sturgeon Falls, Northern Ontario. We built it for the angler deciding where to go next: a week on northern water, a cottage-country weekend or a few hours on a shore close to home. The guide puts places, fish, trip choices and planning advice within easy reach.

Due North has been working with small businesses since 1996. TJ and Monique run the business, with a strong focus on Northern Ontario tourism and fishing lodges. Websites, hosting, search work and promotion are part of that daily work. Ontario Fishing brings those interests together in one place.

A northern start

TJ’s working life began in geology and gold prospecting before moving into computers, websites and marketing. Looking closely at the country has stayed part of the job. For this site, that means paying attention to the lake name, the road in, the kind of fishing trip and the questions a guest needs answered.

Our home is West Nipissing. The site covers the whole province, with more detail on northern lake country. A visitor driving north for the first time and an Ontario resident planning a short outing both need useful reading. We have kept those two readers in mind.

A guide with room for a good story

The main guides cover regions, lakes and rivers, fish species, trip types and planning. Fishing Journal works through the decisions that shape a fishing day. Where to Go looks more closely at Minaki, Lac Seul, Gowganda and French River, including a little time off the water.

The lodge directory gives the listed businesses their own cards and website links. The four destination stories also close with a lodge mention. Readers can contact those operators directly about accommodation, boats, guiding, prices and dates.

Keep the useful details current

We link fishing rules to Ontario’s official sources and use operator pages for business details. Conditions, services and opening hours still change. Check the named water and confirm the booking details with the people providing the trip.

If a link is wrong or a business detail has changed, contact Due North. Include the page address and the correction. You can also visit Due North Marketing to read about our website and promotion services.
